I classically trained at Caribbea Bay Resort, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge as an apprentice and I earned a National Certificate in professional cookery, apprentice certificate, class one journeyman certificate. I was mentored under Chef Jacob Munyai as a chef for 2 years. Following this experience, I held a chef position within a 5-star boutique hotel for a lead at Victoria Falls Safari Club for 1 year. I then managed to join one of the leading Cruise line with free style dining, Norwegian Escape, of the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings company. I am currently holding a head chef position at Hippo Pools Wilderness Camp.
Whether preparing a small intimate dinner or a 7-course affair, I take pride in delighting clients with delicious meals prepared to the highest standards. My mission is to exceed customer expectations, impress my diners and I have earned a reputation for doing precisely that throughout my career.
I am well versed in preparing ethnic cuisine (e.g., Italian, Indian, French) using the freshest ingredients. I also enjoy creating unique dishes that blend unexpected flavor combinations. In addition, I am experienced in meeting special dietary needs and requests, including gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, low-calorie, low-carb and dairy-free meals.
